Session Times & Term Dates


Abinger Common Nursery is a term-time only Nursery. We run the following sessions:


MORNING – Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 11.45am

We run Breakfast Club everyday from 7.45am to 8.45am or a half Breakfast from 8.15am to 8.45am.

We run Lunch Club for our 2 year olds on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until 1pm and an open to all Lunch Club on Friday until 12.45pm.

AFTERNOON –  Monday to Thursday from 11.45am to 2.45pm

We run Afterschool Club on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the option to stay until either 3.45pm, 4.30pm or 5.00pm.

Autumn Term

Monday 8th September – Friday 19th December

Half term: Monday 27th October – Friday 31st October


Spring Term

Monday 5th January – Friday 27th March

Half term: Monday 16th February – Friday 20th February


Summer Term

Monday 13th April – Friday 17th July

Monday 4th May Bank Holiday

Half term: Monday 25th May – Friday 29th May



Costs

Our current hourly rate is £8.50 per hour with a £1.25 voluntary charge per session (8.45am to 11.45am is one session and 11.45am to 2.45pm is one session) for experience enhancement (eg cooking, french etc.) Invoices are sent on a half termly basis.  

If your child attends on a Monday morning session there is a £4 voluntary charge to cover outside company Drama Llamas coming in.

Half Breakfast Club is £4.25, Full Breakfast Club is £8.50.

Lunch Club is £10.50, Friday Lunch Club is £8.50.

Afterschool Club until 3.45pm is £8.50, until 4.30pm is £15 and until 5.00pm is £19.

We accept Edenred childcare vouchers and payments through HMRC tax-free childcare.

Early Years Universal Funding Entitlement

Parents can access their child’s Free Entitlement Government Funding the term after their child is 3 years old. The entitlement is for 15 hours per week of funded Nursery time.

Working Parents Entitlement 15/30 Hours

Some families of 2 and 3 year olds will be entitled to access 15 or 30 hours of funding, providing they meet the criteria.  Please see the following link for more information.

Funded Early Education for two year olds (FEET)

Funded Early Education for two year olds (FEET) offers eligible families up to 15 hours of funded early education and childcare a week, for 38 weeks a year. You can find out if your child can get FEET by checking the eligibility criteria by clicking the link below:

Early Years Pupil Premium

The Early Years Pupil Premium is additional funding that can be accessed by families to provide additional funding for their child’s Nursery.  

This funding is to enable settings to provide further support for individual children. This may be through specialist training for their staff or new experiences for the children.
